As we were hiking yesterday, Stella did something that shocked me.
You see, I brought three lollipops on the hike – one for each child. Two were cherry, and one was watermelon. The kids picked theirs at random and Stella was the one who got the highly-coveted watermelon lollipop. Kai was incredibly upset about the situation and was determined to let everybody within a mile radius know about it. We continued on hiking, when all of a sudden Kai’s audible frustration grew quiet.
I turn around to see Stella giving Kai her watermelon lollipop. She looks at me and says “I knew Kai really wanted it. He wasn’t having a good attitude, but I love him.”
