While we were in the middle of our big move, we had about a week on the coast to explore before we boarded our next plane to Hawaii. Last year we spent a month road-tripping and camping our way through California, but didn’t explore the area north of San Francisco. So, we added it as our next destination on Google Maps and off we went!
We called Petaluma basecamp for the week and stayed at Hotel Petaluma. It’s a cute hotel right in the heart of downtown so you can walk practically everywhere. And as an added bonus, it’s a short drive to Point Reyes National Seashore – a place that blew our minds. Maybe we just hit it on the right week, but why is this place not more crowded?!
